Tips Menu
(1) When you know the title or name of the author.

(1) When you know the title or name of the author.

>>Please use "Which Manga ?"

<Title>
>You can search by both the original Japanese and English titles.
>You can make a search with just part of the title.

<Author>
>"Author" includes both artist and writer.
>You can make a search with just part of an author's name.
>When you click "Refer to...," the registered authors' list will be opened in a new window. Also, when you click on the name of an author, all his or her titles will automatically be copied to the form.
(Netscape 3.0 or higher, InternetExplore4.0 or higher necessary)

(2) When you only have a rough idea of the kind of Manga you are searching

>>Please use "What kind of ?"

<Target Readers>
>Search by the readership.
>"All Readers" does not choose any readership.

<Categories>
>You can search specifically from broad categories. This is an "or" search: checking more the one category will yield more matches.

(3) When you want to see the list of all the works

>>Please click the "title list" button.
>You can choose to view either the Japanese original titles or English titles in alphabetical order by simply clicking the appropriate button.

(4) Viewing "Search Results"

>For two-line titles, the top line is the original Japanese title and bottom line is the English title.


>The last volume of any completed series is indicated by the " [end] " mark. Series without this mark are still running.

>Search Results are listed in alphabetical order by original title. (20 titles per page)

(5) If "No matches" were found

>>Is it spelled correctly?
>We recommend using only simple words from the title when you are not sure of the spelling.
>"Refer to..." is useful when searching by author.

>>Are there too many search criteria?
>Try one type of search at a time. This is an "AND" search: Fewer matches may be found with multiple search criteria.

>Is it published by Kodansha?
>Only manga published by Kodansha are registered. Please check the name of the company that publishes the manga you are searching.


Note: Not all the titles we publish in Japan are registered in this database.
